Today I just wanted to share with you my every day go to make up routine and products that I use. Please excuse the bad hair and goofy looks on my face in some of the photos, my roommate and I couldn’t stop giggling while she was taking these pics.
First, I put on moisturizer and this Clinique moisturizing gel is my go to lately. Then I put a face primer on, especially in my dry areas. The Smashbox photo finish is soooo good!
Finding a foundation that not only keeps my face from getting dry but also moisturizes it was a hard task! I found two that I really love and great for dry skin, Estee Lauder Double Wear and MAC Longwear.
I have recently become obsessed with contouring. I have tried several different contour palettes and this Kat Von D one is by far my favorite. The Anastasia palette is also a great one.
Blushes are something that I don’t tend to use a lot of and if I do the colors are very light but I do love this palette that I got from BH Cosmetics. MAC has great ones too!
I use this Bare Mineral Eye Brightener before my contour and I put a ton of it under my eyes. I have natural dark circles under my eyes so this product is essential. MAC’s paint pot is a great eyeshadow primer, I have been using it for years and I swear by it.
I LOVEEEEE eyeshadow even though my skills on how to properly do it are still a work in progress. I have the first two Naked palettes and I love them, I have been using them for years. About six months ago I was able to score the Jaclyn Hill palette by Morphe and I am seriously obsessed. It is bomb!!!
Next, is the infamous eyebrows. Thanks to my friend who is amazing at makeup, I have learned how to do them pretty well and some great products to use on them. Anastasia Beverly Hills has the best eyebrow products, I currently use her brow wiz and pomade in the shade soft brown. Just a tip, my eyebrows are what I would consider medium to dark brown but the soft brown shade is plenty dark enough so shade down from what you may think is the correct color.
Lipstick is another one of my makeup obsessions. MAC is definitely my favorite, I literally have 10 different ones and the collection is definitely going to keep growing. Midi Mauve is my most favorite color and I also love the Viva Glam collection for fall.
MAC is also my go to brand for liners. I am OBSESSED with the shade Soar, it goes with almost any color and blends so well.
Eyeliner, especially the top is something that I struggle with. For my bottom eyeliner I use MAC in the shade Feline. For my upper eyeliner I use Stilla’s ‘Stay All Day’ liner, its great for drawing wings.
I have naturally long eyelashes so I mainly just try and use a mascara that makes them more full not longer. I absolutely love the Two Faced ‘Better Than Sex’ mascara, it is amazing. I also use this double sided L’Oreal but I only use the white side which has a primer. For a non expensive brand it is a really great product.
Whenever I am finished with all of my powders I add this Laura Mercier translucent powder to the top of it to help it last longer. The powder doesn’t change anything color wise to your makeup, it just sets it. For a highlighter I use this Bobbie Brown Shimmer Brick.
Yes, I am wearing my pajamas but I am obsessed with them. I purchased them from Nordstrom during their semi annual sale they had a few weeks ago. They are a great price point!
